Kristin Armstrong Chrono kicks off racing weekend in Boise
Lachlan Norris and Serghei Tvetcov will compete in the 13.3-mile time trial. The race is the only UCI time trial in the states.
“I’m looking forward to this weekend of racing in Boise,” Norris said. “We have a top team for all the races with Eric Marcotte coming off a recent crit win and also Serghei is probably one of the best TT riders in the country at the moment! I’m building back up from a short break and will hopefully be able to use the TT as good preparation for the Colorado Classic.”
The evening criterium in downtown Boise has become a tradition in the area and always attracts huge crowds.
“I can’t wait for the Boise Twilight, I really enjoy the energy of the place, and especially it being a nighttime criterium,” former crit national champion Eric Marcotte said. “It heightens the atmosphere and adds another dimension to the race. We will have some good options for however the race plays out, and be competitive in the final.”
Joining Marcotte at the start line is Norris, Tvetcov, Seba Haedo, Tanner Putt and Adrian Hegyvary.
In addition to the exciting racing at Saturday’s criterium the team will be honoring a UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation grant recipient with the ‘pro for a day’ treatment. Each year the team has a race where we get to welcome a UHCCF family and their kids to a race, and it is always an awesome time for everyone involved.
