“I think this victory is coming in a great moment for Serghei and for the all team,” team director Seba Alexandre said. “He is really looking forward to have a very good tour of Utah and Colorado Classic. So having Serghei riding better every race really give the all of us extra motivation.”
Tvetcov won the race with a time of 28:49, 52 seconds faster than Rally’s Brandon McNulty, who is a former junior world champion in the event. After the USA Crits Boise Twilight Criterium the next day which saw Lachlan Norris take fourth, Tvetcov went on to place second in Chicken Dinner Road Race. A small road race event outside Boise that attracts big competition.
Tvetcov escaped from the pack with eventual winner, Tyler Stites (Aevolo) and finished two minutes ahead of the peloton. Adrian Hegyvary claimed the bunch sprint for third and Seba Haedo took fourth place.
The UCI ranked Tour of Utah is next on tap for the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling men’s team, which starts August 6-12.
