Amgen Tour of California Roster: Strong, varied eight-man team ready to take on Amgen Tour of California

UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling is proud to announce its strong and diverse lineup for the 12th edition of Amgen Tour of California, to be held May 14-20.

The eight-rider team selected for the UCI WorldTour race includes Janier Acevedo, previous stage winner and third overall at 2013, along with GC contenders Daniel Jaramillo and Gavin Mannion, anticipated to shine during the most challenging, mountainous days, stages 2 and 5.

Travis McCabe, fresh from two stage wins at the Tour de Langkawi, will be the favorite for the flat, sprint stages and this year there are plenty on offer at the Amgen Tour of California. Supported by veteran world tour rider Greg Henderson, Jonny Clarke, Tanner Putt, Daniel Eaton who will also be on the hunt for individual wins, McCabe has a world-class lead out train primed to deliver the 27-year-old speedster to victory.

The seven-day event covers 575 miles passing through major California cities featuring Santa Barbara, Santa Clarita, Ontario, Mt. Baldy, Big Bear Lake, Mountain High and Pasadena.

UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling will compete alongside 11 WorldTour teams, two pro Continental teams and two continental teams.
