Wiles, Hall to lead six-rider team at UCI women’s WorldTour event
With Amgen Breakaway from Heart Disease Women’s Race empowered with SRAM just around the corner, UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling is close to finalizing its roster for the UCI World Tour event.
Beginning May 11, the women’s four day stage race will feature a mix of mountains and flat, fast stages adding up to 256.6 miles of racing from Lake Tahoe to Sacramento.
Coming off a convincing Tour of the Gila overall win, Tayler Wiles will be a rider to watch, along with climbing phenom Katie Hall, former stage winner at the race back in 2015. Young talent Ruth Winder, a double threat in both the mountains and the sprints, will also be in the running for GC and the best young rider classifications.
New Zealand national road champion Rushlee Buchanan, Lauren Hall, Diana Peñuela and Lauretta Hanson are also in the running to attend the Amgen Breakaway from Heart Disease Women’s Race empowered with SRAM.
The final roster will be released after May 7.
